When physical access is difficult, find another way to inspect.
Underwater and subsea structures can be expensive and difficult to inspect because of depth, access, environmental conditions and operational constraints. Particle-based sensing has the potential to provide additional information about structures where direct inspection is difficult. Muotech is developing and evaluating applications in this area together with relevant technical and industrial partners. This describes an emerging application area, not yet a validated commercial capability.
We evaluate detector configurations suited to underwater and subsea deployment conditions.
Collected measurements would be analysed to identify density variations and structural features.
Results would be translated into engineering-relevant information to support further evaluation.
