In early November, we presented our innovative solution at the international conference ETHER – Eternal Heritage / Wieczne Dziedzictwo, held at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw. This conference brought together experts to discuss the integration of digital technologies in cultural heritage preservation.
Our presentation focused on the application of muon tomography, a technique utilizing cosmic particles, for non-invasive scanning and imaging in heritage conservation. This method, often associated with space exploration, offers a novel approach to examining historical structures and artifacts without causing damage.
By employing this advanced technology, we aim to enhance the preservation of cultural heritage, providing detailed insights into the internal structures of artifacts and sites. This approach not only honors historical legacies but also bridges the gap between cutting-edge scientific techniques and the safeguarding of our shared past.
The ETHER conference provided an ideal platform to showcase our work, aligning with its mission to foster innovation in heritage preservation. We look forward to further collaborations that integrate space technology into the conservation of cultural heritage.
